IN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE PROJECT ABOUT THE THEME: “PR: THE ANTARCTIC, A CONTINENT WHICH FASCINATES AND A THREATENED NEIGHBOR”

During our research on our project about the Antarctic, we realized that the pollution of the oceans is constantly increasing. The austral ocean, formerly without any form of pollution, has now a very high concentration of micro-plastics.
We therefore decided to reduce water pollution on our scale by organizing a cleaning of The Boca, the beach of Concon, on which wastes of all kinds pile up, visually polluting the beach but most of all contaminating the oceans.
Moreover, during our stay in Chile, we noticed that many Chileans don’t seem very sensitive to the environment, probably because of the lack of prevention and information on these subjects. That’s why we thought that this collecting of rubbish on the beach would be a good example of the simple gestures to be carried out.
